Since 2008, firm is doing production, distribution and exhibition in film industry. There are various goals of the company to achieve its firmness in industry. It started with production of Gujarati movie called "Lekh vidhi na koi jane" in 2008. After successful production of it, another Gujarati movie was produced in 2009 which named as "Bhad no Dikro"

Bholenath Movies started another venture in distribution. In 2010, Khatta Meetha Movie, directed by Priyadarshan and acted by Akshay Kumar, distributed in Mumbai Circle (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa) by Bholenath Movies. It was their first Hindi movie to be distributed and step inside Bollywood Industries. Subsequently, firm invested in another distribution rights in Gujarat territory. It was Dabangg produced by Arbaaz Khan and acted by Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. In 2015, Bholenath Movies produced Hindi romantic comedy film Patel Ki Punjabi Shadi, starring Rishi KapoorParesh RawalVir Das, Payal Ghosh and Prem Chopra.

Bharat Patel (born 12 April 1966) is an Indian film producer and film distributor who is known for his works in Hindi films like Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, Dabangg and Khatta Meetha (2010 film). He comes from a Gujarati family in a small town in Gujarat called Patan. Before entering the film industry, Bharat Patel was into real estate as a builder. He has done a lot of work in politics as well. He has been a corporator in patan municipality. In 2008 he started his carrier as a producer with his production house "Bholenath Movies".
